Describe the feature

Since the authors belong to different historical traditions. We suggest adding the following tradition category in the search database. It can include the following categories: European, African, Latin American, Chinese, Indian, Islamicate, and others.

How will this feature enhance your project and further the project’s overall goals? Who will benefit from this feature (i.e. all users; the project team)?

All users

Are there any alternatives for this feature? Are there any consequences for your project if this feature is not implemented?

No alternatives

Please share any examples of this feature, or one similar to it, that you have encountered in other contexts.

This feature should expand the scope of the database by allowing users to search for authors who belong to a specific tradition.

Tradition is not a field in the database. I can add that field, but someone in the New Narratives team will will need to edit each entry to add the tradition.

It is also not clear to me if you want to add this field to works or people.
