Does not look overly difficult: https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms5114

The approach can adapt the modified independent swaps code, swapping between lists for each group, and then rebuilding the basedata at the end. Tracking abundances will need some thought.

These labels will all be swapped anyway so
there is no need to subset the list.

Re-opening. Implementation was actually a "not-quite-curveball".
