Password Managers and shoelace forms

Should shoelace forms work with a password manager like LastPass? I assume it is not working for me because of shadow dom? Are my assumptions correct that this is something LastPass and other password managers need to fix?

I believe that would be the case. Here's an older post from 1Password about it. There was also an open issue about shadow DOM + autocomplete, but it looks like that fix shipped in Chromium 99 so it shouldn't be an issue anymore.

I'd recommend searching for open issues in your password manager of choice's website/forum/etc. and adding your thoughts there.

I did find this blog article from Dashlane. I tried it out, and it worked in chrome but not safari.
