O am not able to find the device id of a setup device in the new UI. Where to find it?

That's probably worth adding, but not visible anywhere.

Workarounds:

  • Do something with the light (eg turn it on) and go to the sniffer tab. There should be a packet that shows up
  • Look at the output of /gateways and it'll be in there

I am just asking, because it is not obviously anymore to directly see which device is e.g. mapped to a specific added remote control. (/gateways is also helpful - was not aware of this :-) )
And in the old GUI the device id was visible.

Thanks you very much for this very nice and helpful implementation of milight hub :-)

P.S.: Maybe it is also a good idea to make the device id changeable in cause of a RC replacement?
