SPARQL endpoint parameters ampersand

There is a problem when defining query parameters for a SPARQL endpoint.

The field needs to start with an ampersand symbol (&) but when I insert something like &reasoning=true I get and error back saying that there's an XML error.

A workaround at the moment is to replace the ampersand with the html entity version &, so in my example it would be &reasoning=true.
