Expanding an entry on the monet timeline example does not work on an iOS device

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. On an iPad or iPhone, open safari and go to simile-widgets monet timeline
2. stretch screen
3.Click on one of the green dots

What is the expected output? 

Expected output is what I see on the Mac running safari and osx - a popup 
window (see first attachment)

What do you see instead?
See second attachment (photo of an ipad screen)

This is a greatly expanded version of the timeline itself [no detail shows in 
the photo].


What version of the product are you using? On what browser and what
operating system?  Safari on iOS 5.1.1
