Can't install apk on Android Lollipop 5.0.2

I wanted to install this app (version 1.4) through the Play Store, and I received the error:

Unknown error code during application install: "-505"

I found this discussion that suggests the issue could be with app permissions and we should contact the developers. I hope it can be fixed, it's frustrating to not be able to use a decent SMS app.

I can't reproduce, i see a lot of issue about this in the comment but without more information...

Whate device are you using ? Can you send me the logcat when you are seeing this error ?

The phone is Sony Xperia Z1 Compact with this custom Lollipop rom (v5.3.1). Unfortunately I had more annoyances with Lollipop and I have already switched back to KitKat, so I can't provide a logcat.
