Would it be possible to have the IRC side use peoples "displayname" for lack of a better word, rather than their accountname?

Or maybe make it toggleable on a per channel basis?

i think this would be a valuable feature. rather than per channel, i think it would be fine as a global setting. perhaps 3 options:

1. account name everywhere
2. nickname on servers, account name in DMs
3. nickname (account name) on servers, account name in DMs

You can use nick_format for this I think.
Doesn't work per channel thou.
