New windows update wont allow me set user defined sound device

I use smplayer with a usb fio ka3 dac as user defined. Today i updated windows February 28, 2023—KB5022913 (OS Build 22621.1344) Preview with this windows update.

And smplayer refuses to play movies with my user defined audio device, it plays them with all the other options but user defined.
My dac gets recognized as wasapi with a string of characters on user defined. Selecting audio device as wasapi also plays movies just fine since the dac is the only audio device on my computer.
