I am using i3 on Ubuntu 20.04, and I am having issues with Discord crashing. The easiest way for me to get it to crash every time I just reload i3, and Discord will crash. I could not find any fixes here on Github, or when googling so, I wondered if anyone has had similar issues and know how to fix them?

I get the following from the terminal:

Failed to generate minidump.[1] 25485 segmentation fault (core dumped) discord

The first line is when reloading i3 and the windows updates. I waited a couple of seconds and then started talking in a voice channel when it crashed and got some segmentation fault.

A few questions:

  • Did you have these issues with the Discord snap? Or with the regular discord app?
  • Are you still having these issues with the latest version of Discord?

Honestly, I don't remember the issue. I don't have any issues now.
