First of all, thanks for the tutorial and info. Has worked wonderfully for me. Have my system since the end of May. Now I try to optimize it. The data that I get via Modbus and can display in HA help me a lot.
I have noticed that the charging of the battery is prioritized. As a result, I have unnecessary grid draw. Especially in the morning when the PV power is still low. Then part of the PV power is put into charging the battery although the battery is still over 70% full and current load could be completely covered. This makes little sense to me, because during the day there is still more than enough power and energy available to charge the battery several times. At least with the current weather conditions.
So my question is whether it is possible via Modbus to set a maximum charging power and/or a defined charging period. Via the Alpha Ess app there would be a workaround by means of the settings for mains charging, but this also affects discharging.
