This is a collection of docs on running the conference and generally being involved.

How-Tos

Communication

In good Linux tradition, most SCaLE coordination happens on mailing lists but there are other ways to engage with the conference as well. This is a non-comprehensive list.

Mailing Lists

  • scale-planning - This is the main conference discussion list anyone is encouraged to join.
  • scale-cfp-reviewers - Program Committee members and people actively involved in the CFP review process.
  • scale-chairs - Private list for conference committee chairs.
  • scale-infra - Infrastructure Committee members
  • scale-av - For the AV team
  • scale-community - For planning dot-org booths
  • scale-design - For the design team
  • scale-kids - For planning the SCALE Kids track
  • scale-pr - For the PR team
  • scale-training - For planning the training tracks
  • scale-webdev - For the web development team

Slack

scale-conf.slack.com - You need an invite from one of the chairs to join.

Discord

  • Alt.SCALE - An unofficial scale discord created by attendees during COVID to share the scale love while we were on hiatus. You can join with this link. Note that no planning does/should happen here, this is purely for attendees to chat.
