I'm looking at a few options for logs:

  • generic logging with logrotate to S3
  • rsyslog to a custom instance
  • ELK stack
  • rsyslog to s3 (preferred)

This looks like the right thing for my preferred, but S3 messes with objects, ie there are no appends.
I assume by you -cat.py that it will actually append to s3, but I'm curious:

a) is this a right assumption?
b) does this solve my issue?
c) what's the performance like?

The README.md is very very vague so I'm not sure.
