Version 0.60 on Max 2. Setting Max 2 device breaks Dreamcast #58

Using version 0.60 on a RGB10 Max 2. Setting the device as Max 2 Top or Max 2 Native breaks Dreamcast emulation. Launching any Dreamcast game causes the screen to go black briefly and then return to the game list. However, if the device is set as Max Top or Max Native Dreamcast emulation works good (sticks are inverted, but is expected in this case, if I understand correctly). I'm not sure if there are more systems or applications with this issue, as I only tried a handful.

Thanks, I don't have a Max 2 to test with but will take a look.

Can you show the content of the both files:

  • ~/.emulationstation/last_launch.lo (/home/odroid/.emulationstation/last_launch.lo)
  • ~/.emulationstation/last_launch.log (/home/odroid/.emulationstation/last_launch.log) .

You can get the files with a ssh client or with Diskgenius software on PC.

Sure. Here are the contents of last_launch.log file. Couldn't find the other one though.

DREAMCAST:
/usr/local/bin/dreamcast.sh: line 16: /usr/bin/retrorun32: No such file or directory

Hi, @southoz thanks for taking the time to make this work and grateful for your contribution to the community. Much appreciate it. I own an RGB 10 Max 2.

  1. After updating to 0.6, Retrorun32 and all the wide versions no longer worked and the last launch log also showed:

DREAMCAST:
/usr/local/bin/dreamcast.sh: line 16: /usr/bin/retrorun32: No such file or directory

  1. Moonlight is not working properly. It successfully connects to my PC (via same WIFI network) and are paired but when I launch it, it just quits. FYI, it worked when I was on 0.52b.

Please see if you can have a look at the two issues. Thank you again.

Yeah, that update fixed the issue. Thanks a lot, man!

I'd like to say that I attempted that fix as well but it still does not work. I couldn't believe that the problem was the device setting but sure enough when I changed my Max 2 to Max 1 controllers, dreamcast finally worked. I'd love to use this with a non-inverted joystick
edit: apparently after switching back and forth from the devices (Max 2 to 1 back to 2) allowed dreamcast to work again for some reason. it was probably the scripts not working initially but work now thank you JuanMiguelBG :)
