why documentation is protected?

Why is the documentation ( https://docs.sovity.de/ and https://edc.docs.sovity.de/) protected with password and 2FA (one-time code)?
I hope subdomains don't require their own 2FA codes because I already have two: "sovity portal" and "authority portal"... I'll get confused which is which

It's the first software documentation that I see protected in such a way.
Is the EDC/Sovity documentation is more valuable than the documentation of large commercial software?
I think good documentation is one of the best ways to attract developers: and protecting it is a way to drive them away.

you can find our public documentation here: https://edc-ce.docs.sovity.de/

The non-public documentation contains mainly information how to authenticate against our deployed components, which is not relevant for the public audience.

The linked public documentation for the sovity EDC contains the same content as the non-public.
