Checklist

  • I have used the search function for OPEN issues to see if someone else has already submitted the same feature request.
  • I have also used the search function for CLOSED issues to see if the feature was already implemented and is just waiting to be released, or if the feature was rejected.
  • I will describe the problem with as much detail as possible.
  • This request contains only one single feature, not a list of multiple (related) features.

App version

2.8.1

Where did you get the app from

Google Play

Feature or improvement you want

The traditional location for Settings is that it is a menu choice on the main screen or in a submenu item there. Currently it is accesible from the article list of a feed. If the feed has one item there is no menu choice in the list screen. A similar argument pertains for the OPML and bug report selections.

Why should this be added?

This is a UI, restricted functionality and UX issue. The app is frustrating to use with the current restriction. It goes against design principles that have been in place for software, for decades.

I don't care for your tone. The issue template clearly states that you should be respectful. And you are not.

Sorry I meant no offence. I am just a retired old fart with a couple of computing degrees from the early days of computing, 1970s. At my age and with no one but the wife to hold me back, I can be a bit over the top. I unreservedly retract what I said.
