I started coding in 2022 and absolutely fell in love with building software with a purpose, to much I owe the credit to open source projects.
I wanted to create something that would empower people to communicate better with AI assistants, given their recent rise and explosion, as well as help people take ownership of their conversations. That's how LibreChat, originally known as "ChatGPT Clone," was born. It was my Minimum Viable Project for the @HackReactor Bootcamp, where I was tasked to set up a full stack project from scratch in under 20 hours, no boilerplates, toolchains, or tutorials. It was a crazy challenge, but I did it, and it has gotten much more attention than I anticipated!
The clone project now has over 19,200 stars on GitHub. It's been actively used and contributed to and greatly improved through community input. It also has some unique features that make it stand out from other GPT UI's, such as AI model switching, message search, and almost one-for-one mirroring of the official site's features and user experience.
I love working on this project, and looking to build and contribute to more open source projects, but it's not easy to balance them with my day job and personal life. Your sponsorship will help me dedicate more time and resources to improving LibreChat and creating new open source tools for the community. With your support, I can also cover the costs of hosting, domain, and API fees.
Thank you so much for considering sponsoring me! Your support means the world to me and motivates me to keep working on this project and other open source projects.
