Hello, my name is Sicarius and I am from a small town in the Midwest, USA. Ever since I was in Middle School, I have truly had a passion for open source, and not only in the software sense. I believe that vast amounts of knowledge/education, finance, products, and more should be open sourced as well.

Why? Simply because it is the right thing to do.

I believe one of the things holding back humanity from being the greatest version of itself is that we often choose not to share important collective knowledge and work together, often for monetary gain. This belief lead me to some of my biggest interests and projects that I am working on, many of which include libraries for interacting with blockchains that are smaller, more performant, and easier to use. One of these projects that is near and dear to me is the Tetanus library. This is a blockchain library that can be used today and will be extended with more functionality for interact with multiple blockchain interfaces. Plus it can be used in the browser

Another project I have begun to work on will be a free mobile application for both iphone and android that will allow people to stay more connected with their friends and maintain relationships in a more real way. Primarily this idea was for the purposes of helping others who are struggling with mental health, as many have during the pandemic, and feeling like they don't have a support network. Ideally this app would also have features related to finding mental health resources and more wholesome content as well, but the primary features will be related to communication and crisis aversion.

Sponsorship funding would allow me to focus more of my efforts on contributing to open source and covering the runtime costs of the free applications and resources I put out there. If sponsorship becomes sustainable enough as well, I hope to maybe one day contribute to open source and awesome free apps on a full time basis, but covering some of my costs would be a solid start.
