SPTM — Learning JS on backend

Software versions we use

  • Node.js — always the latest LTS version (currently it's v18.13.0)
  • NPM — always the latest LTS version (currrently it's v9.4.0)
  • Docker — latest version (currently it's 20.10.22)
  • PostgreSQL (in Docker) — latest stable version (currently it's postgres:15 in Docker Hub
  • MongoDB (in Docker) — latest stable version (currently it's mongo:6 in Docker Hub
  • Redis (in Docker) — latest stable version (currently it's redis:7 in Docker Hub
  • Operating system — I recommend macOS or Linux. Using Windows is completely OK though, but please install Ubuntu as Linux in Windows (WSL)

Starting a new project

Please clone our repository template to start from. It already contains all configs you need like ESLint config, TypeScript config and .gitignore
