Ok, thanks for the extra info @lewisturner729!

So, the problem is you downloaded our M1 installer but you're using an Intel chip.

Please go to our Download page:

https://www.spyder-ide.org/download/

and select the Intel installer. That should work as expected.

Hi Carlos Thank you, I did actually try both and they both came up with the same error, however an anaconda technician suggested I enter in some commands in the Mac terminal which has fixed the issue Many thanks, Lewis
