New Features & Docs Updates

Happy New Year!

Before the holidays we released the latest updates for the srsRAN Project codebase. With this came some new user features as well as updates to our documentation. I am going to highlight some of these here.

Grafana GUI

As some of you will have seen at our workshop last fall, we added a new GUI that can be brought up at run time to display some key srsRAN metrics. We have made this public with the latest updates to the code base. You can find a brief guide on how to use it here.

We are working on adding an extended tutorial covering this to the project documentation asap.

Docs Updates

We have updated our documentation in the last few weeks, with the following changes and additions:

• Running srsRAN CU/DU on Kubernetes (new) - Learn how to run the srsRAN CU/DU on Kubernetes
• Using the srsRAN CU/DU with O-RUs (updates) - Our O-RU guide has been made more generic to make it easier for users to integrate different O-RUs
• Configuration File Reference Document (updates) - This has been brought up to date with the latest release

We are also working on bringing more tutorials and supplementary material to our documentation in the coming weeks. Such as guides on using DPDK with the srsRAN CU/DU, using our new GUI, using our MATLAB repo, and updates to our near RT-RIC tutorial.
