How to Simulate UE to O-RU in a 5G Testbed with srsRAN?

Hi everyone,

I'm setting up a 5G testbed using two servers with a 7.2 split, and I have a few questions regarding the setup.

Setup in Mind:

Server 1: Running Open5GS (Core) and srsRAN (RAN).
Server 2: Simulating O-RU and UE.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to an actual O-RU, so I'm planning to use the simulated O-RU provided by srsRAN on a separate machine (Server 2). I also want to simulate the UE on the same machine (Server 2) to connect to the O-RU.

My Questions:

1. How can I simulate the UE on Server 2 to connect to the simulated O-RU on Server 2?
2. Are there any specific configurations or additional tools required for this setup (e.g., Can Simulated O-RU work with srsUE)?

Any guidance or examples from those who have set up a similar testbed would be greatly appreciated.
