It seems that genie.query() sometimes gets stuck after a fresh installation. The reason is not known, and my best guess would be that it's related to genie contextual and how it initializes for the first time.
A temporary solution is to simply quit the dangling process genie.query() and run again. I have observed that this can often fix this problem.

Disregard the last comment. This is simply due to a typo in 'http://127.0.0.1:8400' (default address by genie server). Nonetheless, the original problem still needs to be investigated.
