3 PlugIns, if and when you'll have time and will #45
Comments
Hello, Thanks for the feature request. I actually was planning an overdrive plugin sometime soon.
Have you seen SG EQ under "Effects"? Is there something specific that it doesn't do that you need?
Did you have something specific in mind for this? MultiFX and Nabu have various effects under "Distortion" like foldback, saturation, soft clipper, etc... if you mean something different, is there a plugin you can point me to that does what you want? Also, just FYI. I mentioned this in another thread, but I recently suffered a very serious injury and spent a month in a hospital. I probably won't be working on Stargate DAW for at least another month or 2 while I focus on recovering and rehabilitating. |

Yep, sorry.
I'm sad for your accident, best wishes =) |
Thanks @anonimo82 , I'll work on this as soon as possible. |
Thank you too, hope to see this soon =) |
@L3337 Hello. Any update on this? |
@L3337 are you still busy due to your accident? |
Hi @anonimo82 . I have not resumed working on Stargate DAW yet, I've been very busy with returning to my day job and doctor's appointments. I have done some research and design for the overdrive plugin, but have not started coding it yet. I am hoping to resume work on Stargate DAW within the next month. |
Hello right back @L3337. Regards, have a nice day =) |
Are there been any updates here? |
Briefly describe your usage of Stargate
I did some exploration with it and some simple tracks, with the bundled plugins.
Never ever tried to install other plugins nor mixing work done in other software.
I didn't read manuals or watched videos, because I felt at home with Stargate as I'm experienced with other DAWs, such as Ableton live, LMMS, Ardour, FL Studio, and other, minor ones.
I did some EDM tracks with Stargate, but I did for my personal enjoyment and didn't preserve.
I'd like to see this project grow some more, but on the other hand, I feel it's mature enough.
Describe what you want to do
I'm used to have these plugins in a way or another in the DAW I work on:
Does your proposal align with the core project design principles?
Project principles are available HERE
Yes, more or less. It's not a request for a change in the plugin API, still is a new plugin request.
So, the answer is: it depends. Is a new plugin a change to the API?
Additional context
I really don't know what to put here, sorry
