thank you for providing BowPad . may i please request feature in particular the ability to rename a file . i right-clicked a file name in the tree also on the tab and saw no "Rename" option .

the file tree is there as a convenience to open other files. It was never intended as an explorer replacement. Not sure if I want to implement a rename feature...
I'll leave the issue open, but don't get your hopes up.
In the context menu, select the Properties menu item. You can rename the file from the file properties dialog.
If Stefan somehow implements a "rename" command, there might probably also bring out a "rename" dialog, doing just the same thing that you can do in the file properties dialog. So, using the "Properties" command may be a good enough solution for your issue, no extra mouse clicks or keyboard hits.
