Fault codes, (i.e. Open thermocouple)

Hello Steve,
I'm new to python, but have managed to implement your MAX31856 class, but must admit I hacked at it, because of my ignorance of python. Could you share a simple example of how to get back the fault codes? (or any other actual working examples of your class). I'm using almost all the thermocouple types. Thanks in advance for any help.
