Ever since I watched your video about the capacitive buttons I was wondering why you never tried to use the buttons without a conductive element on the surface.
These Capacitive buttons should work through a few millimeters of non-conductive material. So it would be possible to integrate a conductive part (like a circular wire or a custom PCB trace) into the part without integrating a separate conductive printed piece at the surface.
It would also get rid of the very expensive filament and also reduce the amount of printed parts.
