Hi @storpipfugl,

I am one of the core developers with the pytroll community now and we use pykdtree a lot (pyresample, satpy, etc). I know @mraspaud has some level of permission on this repository, but his time is pretty limited. I'm wondering if you would allow me to also have some permissions on this repository to push/merge and possibly make releases (same as Martin has now). I was also wondering if it would be possible to give @mraspaud more permissions if necessary (to add more contributors/maintainers in the future). If you have concerns about this, I understand, but wanted to put the suggestion out there. Thanks.

@storpipfugl et al

I'm a core developer with the SciTools community and akin to @djhoese we're also super keen to see pykdtree maintained.

I'd be more than happy to contribute my time to help maintaining pykdtree. If there is anyway in which I can contribute, then please count me in on the conversation, I'd love to help 👍

@djhoese you are invited as a collaborator now.
@bjlittle what are the biggest problems with pykdtree in its current state?
