Embuary is a great skin for Kodi but seems to have some outdated performance and display issues on newer Kodi builds (v20/20.2) on Android TV devices.
The main problems are:
Performance is sluggish at 3840x2160 UHD resolution on devices like the Nvidia Shield TV. There is lag and stuttering when navigating menus and widgets.
On 1080p displays like the Chromecast with Google TV, some elements appear too small and text is hard to read.
Proposal:
Optimize skin assets and layouts for 3840x2160 resolution. Reduce unnecessary animations and effects.
Add display profiles and adjustments for 1080p displays. Increase font sizes, adjust spacing, icons etc.
Specifically ensure good performance on common Android TV devices like:
Nvidia Shield
Xiaomi Mi Box
Chromecast with Google TV
TCL Android / Google TV's
Sony Bravia Google TV's
Test with latest Kodi versions - v20, v20.2 (like Nexus and Omega builds)
This will really help Embuary shine on the most popular Android TV hardware and Kodi builds. Let me know if any specific debugging info would help!
