Objective - To develop an Android App to help visually impaired persons navigate to their desired destinations
Audio based interaction, simple and blind-friendly interface
Allows route pre-planning
Tags- instructions and information about sidewalks, road surface, lanes etc. wherever encountered
Dynamic alerts when deviating off the route
Search for nearby points of interest while navigating
Uses Open Street Mapping (OSM) and routing (OSRM) services for route allocation
Allows addition of personal landmarks and instructions
