I'm not sure where to put this. But, Cognitive Dimensions of Notation might be a powerful tool for evaluating Proposals. It also provides us with a common language for discussing aspects which may be in tension (such as terseness and cognitive load). One outcome would be such a glossary, another would be a standard set of questions to identify how a proposal fits within the framework, similar to that found in the original paper. https://es.discourse.group/t/papers-cognitive-dimensions-of-notation/325
