Close open submenus if clicked on a other dropdown button or elsewhere?

Hi,
first, I love the popper and the popperscores theme very much and learned a lot in your tutorial.
I´m leaning javascript and tried to build a eventhandler that closes the open submenus if I click on a other dropdown button or elsewhere on the page, but it´s not working. Do you maybe know an easy solution?

Not sure if this is a bug or an intended feature. I will think about a possible solution.
