+I imagine that Mondrian would earnestly attempt to interpret these clock faces as metaphysical representations. Perhaps he'd be reminded of his visits to the shores of the North Sea. He might see the hour blocks as a rare red sky evening over the vast expanse of the ocean (five-minute block).
