Extend to feature requests with voting #30
Comments
Hi Ben, This seems worth some thought. What's the process (or site) for submitting feature requests to Apple? |
It's not great at all: http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html which I found thru apple stackexchange. Unfortunately I did not get a tracking number. Right now there seems to be no central public place for OSX feature requests, but I'm sure that's not for lack of ideas. Btw, Isaac Schlueter is trying to do a similar thing with Github: https://github.com/isaacs/github. Of course, one of the primary requests is voting on issues (feature requests), which is a pretty big drawback for using Github to get issues highlighted, altho the number of comments is a good proxy. |
Thanks. If you've submitted there, have you been able to see your I have seen developers post feature requests in Radar/Open Radar. On Sunday, January 31, 2016, Ben Creasy [email protected] wrote:

a couple years later - no, can't see my feature requests. I think in the future I will use radars to submit them as I didn't get a tracking number from the feedback form noticed https://github.com/lionheart/openradar-mirror incidentally which I guess is a different way to view the UI - might be worth linking out to additional projects like that somewhere |
Have you guys thought about extending this to allow for feature requests?
I just submitted a feature request (basically asking for this configurability http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/25932/move-pictures-documents-movies-etc-folders?lq=1).
Of course, I get no guarantee of a response, but it would be nice if other people knew that I at least submitted it. If someone eventually did get a response, they could post that response.
