Conversation disappears with each query

• I right click my code and click, "ChatGPT: explain selection"
• In the sidebar, the extension helpfully explains the selected code.
• I pose a subsequent question, such as "What langauge is this?"
• It deletes the former code explanation and replaces it with the answer to my subsequent question

I can't seem to find a conversation history setting and a web search hasn't turned up a clear answer.

You may have to copy & paste his changes into your repository in order to make it work. But I did so and I now have chat history.

Thank you for the response and the pertinent link. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to copy & paste his changes into my repository. I only have the extension from the VS Code marketplace.
