Hi, old user from the days of #! on Wheezy here. Glad to see this program is still around, but I have encountered a fatal bug on macOS: every time I hit the spacebar, the application inserts two spaces instead of just one. No idea why it does this, but it’s essentially preventing me from ever using this seriously on my Mac.

I’m using a 16” MacBook Pro M1 Max running the latest version of macOS. I installed it from the latest release and have been using it with GitHub Sync.

Sorry for the slow response nicholatian. Been a bit unwell.

I honestly have no idea what would cause this problem. I (build/debug/) test on a Monterey box and don't have (easy) access to anything newer in the Mac world. And, obviously, it does not do that for me. A couple of questions -

  1. I am guessing you see those double spaces when typing a note content. How about in the other places you can type, ie in a search field ? Either after CRTL-F or the Search Window.

  2. Similarly, if you go to settings, Note, there is a button to manually edit colours, it will show a small window with text that displays the chosen colours. You can type into that little window, please do !
