A tentative fork |
@grosjo what about reviving this project instead? |
@j-4 any possibility to release a new version of the app? that would be great. thanks! |
@monperrus I have taken over the server side for now ( https://github.com/grosjo/nextcloud-grauphel ) For the client site, there shall be 3 actions (and if @j-4 can contribute, this would be very nice)
|
Great! @j-4 could you share you deployment rights so that we can update https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tomdroid&hl=en&gl=US? (the last update was January 4, 2014). Thanks! |
I just got a new phone and am devastated that this App is not supported on it.. What is the progress? What needs to be done to get this working? This is one of my all-time-essential apps... I have practically zero Android development knowledge, but is there anything I can do to help get the app running on my new phone (Google Pixel 8)? |
@grosjo can you have access to the Google play credentials to update with your fork? |
Honestly, the "notes" application from NextCloud is doing the job properly, so I have not continue to maintain the app and the server side |
I see. while the nextcloud notes app works for just taking notes, it misses most of the functionality of Tomdroid which made it stand out:
I guess it partially achieves the first via markdown, and the latter by syncing just with Nextcloud, but for me the killer feature has always been the trivial auto linking between Notes. So i guess if this project is truly dead perhaps it might be possible to add notes links to the Nextcloud app as an easier solution than trying to revive this project? |
Tomdroid is great!
The last release on Play Store is 6 years old.
When one installs the app, there is a message like "This app was built for an old version of Android, it may not work"
What about making a new release on the Play Store to signal that Tomdroid is stil working well?
