Greetings,
I was reading your, admittedly old, article about Make https://bost.ocks.org/mike/make/, which led me to this repository to look at real-world examples. I was surprised to find that you aren't using Make since 2016 (it was deleted in 8f92f6e)
The commit does not have any comments as to why Makefile was deleted and, looks like, replaced with a bash script (https://github.com/topojson/world-atlas/blob/master/prepublish). Can you elaborate why you aren't using Make?
