Once both files are open, I expect :A to restore my previous location in the alternate file, Instead it keeps resetting the location in the file back to the top of the file, which is frustrating.

For already-opened files, switching the file with :A should work just like :b-- that is, the cursor location in the file should be preserved.

This ensures that the cursor position is restored for files that have
already been loaded into a buffer.
