Chart is Overwritting with new Data. how to clear existing data and recreate new chart?

chartView.api.removeSeries(candleStickSeries)
i tried to remove series. but no luck

Any thing new happened on this issue? I'm having the same problem here.

Currently I have tried these methods:

 api.addAreaSeries(options = areaOptions, onSeriesCreated = { api ->
                                api.setData(priceAreaData)
                                areaAPI = api
                            })
                            candleAPI?.let {
                                it.setData(emptyList())
                            }

and

 api.addAreaSeries(options = areaOptions, onSeriesCreated = { api ->
                                api.setData(priceAreaData)
                                areaAPI = api
                            })
                            candleAPI?.let {
                            api.removeSeries(it)
                            }

and none of these work for me. The candle and area charts keep stacking on each other.
