Question

Can we get a new tagged version of Trilinos? It's been a while. 16.0.0 has a version of Kokkos with bugs that break building and the latest develop of Trilinos has fixed a few things.

@sebrowne @ccober6 When are we due for the next scheduled release?

Yeah, we are delinquent on a minor release. Sam is working it, and we should have 16.1 soon.

We've been waiting for the new release for some time at ORNL.

Would be nice to have a newer Kokkos version too. 16.0 carries Kokkos 4.3.1. Kokkos released two versions since, with the latest being 4.5.1.

Would also want to make sure the new release is fully C++20 compatible. Things like #13405 cropped up, but I'm not sure what else.

It appears the Trilinos 16.1 will include Kokkos ~4.5.01, and we do have a c++20 nightly build which is currently down due to some container work.

If you would like more frequent releases which include the latest integration of Kokkos, I would suggest using the master branch. You could also use the develop branch which is less stable but has the latest and greatest commits. :)
