While it's possible to spin up a replacement znc server with ansible, the stored client buffers will be lost.
It should be possible to automatically back up the buffer state in such a way that they can be fetched down to the ansible host, so that recreating a fresh server can restore these changes.
I'm thinking cron job and rotating local backups of some sort. S3 bucket would be bonus points.
