Ganache image options in Github Actions

Hello, I would like to use ganache image as service container in github actions.
I cannot find how to apply options like --wallet.seed. Is it possible?

My current configuration:

jobs:
  job:
    services:
      ganache:
        image: trufflesuite/ganache:latest
        ports:
          - 8545:8545
        options: >-
          --name ganache
     steps:
     # ...

Hey @tylde I don't know how to use GitHub Actions' service containers, and actually haven't ever heard of it. Maybe someone from the community can help or you could try Stack Overflow?

I use docker-compose for local development and there is no problem with configuration.

  # docker-compose.yml
  ganache:
    image: trufflesuite/ganache:latest
    ports:
      - 8545:8545
    command:
      --wallet.deterministic

Unfortunately command is not available in github actions workflow yml.

I have idea to just start docker-compose as job step but it will be the last stand.

Is there any possibility to set seed or deterministic flag via environment variables?

Not currently. I'll try to get #810 merged soon, which will enable the ENV feature.

It's be strange if github didn't offer a way to pass command line args to a docker container, so I think your best bet will be to reach out to a Github Actions community or dig in to their documentation further.

Envs would be very helpful. In the meanwhile I will use docker-compose in job's step:

- name: Run Ganache service
  run: docker-compose up -d ganache
# ...
- name: Cleanup docker services
  if: always()
  run: docker-compose down && docker-compose rm --force
