General direction: Keep trial and error regarding permissions. Do not try to model the "i need this and that permission / system setting to do this and that recording". This may change between Linux versions and is rather tedious and bulky to maintain.

This will be looked at when boost::program_options is replaced with nitro::broken_options in #147
