Towards Extracting Absolute Event Timelines From English Clinical Reports

The repository contains the materials associated with the research on textual annotation and extraction of temporal information from (English clinical) texts, reported in the open access publication referred to below. The materials can be used to develop the reported models, evaluate new models on the provided data, or annotate new data using the timeline annotation tool.

What is here?

This repository contains the following materials:

  • The python code: used to develop and evaluate the models in the article.
  • The data: the timeline annotations (in tsv format, the texts can be obtained here).
  • The annotation tool: with installation instructions, and example documents.
  • The annotation guidelines.
