Run Python code from a virtual environment

Problem
The plugin doesn't seem to support python virtual environments.

Request
I would like to be able to activate a pre-existing python environment.
The Python code would need to be running from within that environment.

Describe alternatives you've considered

1. Point the python executable in the settings to the virtual environment
2. Activating virtual environment in a bash code block: source <path>/.env/bin/activate
