Hi,

Every time I try to connect to a website, the morp browser I get very many 'This connection is untrusted messages' (depending on the website Im browsing to). This message appears multiple times before I can get to the website I want to browse. Ive ended up not using my phone for browsing because of this.

This connection is untrusted.
You are trying to securely reach example.com but the security certificate of this website is not trusted. Reason: Server's certificate is invalid.

I am using pfsense with pfblockerng. I dont get this message on any other browsers on this local network, for example Firefox on my laptop does not require me to cancel out these messages.

Is this an issue or is there something I can do to alleviate this behaviour?

Can you check if you date and time are correct? Also, may we know which device do you get this issue?

The date and time are correct.

Im getting these dialogs on my Nexus 5 and on my Sony Xperia X. I do not get these issues when on mobile network at all. Only on local LAN, and only on the Morph browser on my UT devices.

Firefox, Chromium, Brave, Opera on desktop / laptop etc... do not produce this untrusted connection message.

It is definitely something about the SSL certificate of the site appearing invalid. It can be a time issue as kugiigi said (which you ruled out) or the site using a different name from what the certificate specifies. Are you sure that you use the correct URL (the one corresponding to the certificate?). Could it be that you try using https on an http site?
Check if the URL you use with your desktop browsers is exactly the same as you use here.

Another source for this error can be URL redirections by the network provider, such as your request being rerouted to a registration or consent page. Does your internet provider or router use such a page?

Your firewall could be the problem. Do the error messages persist when you disable pfsense (just for a moment)?

(I am using the Pinephone CE)
I got a similar issue when using my work's wifi. No only does it require a password, but it also requires checking yes on a terms and condition before the full internet works. However, Morph doesnt pull this up.

When I use the same connection on Manjaro's Anglefish, it pulls up the terms and condition. Same with FireFox on Manjaro. But Morph on UT just gets this error. Even after giving the wifi password to UT. I have not tried it on other UT browsers yet tho.
