This seems to happen only on savio4_htc and is happening both for Mark and me, so I don't think it is user-specific.
One can connect to the Desktop app, but the full Linux desktop never appears - it gets stuck on some grey VNC-related screen after one clicks to connect to the session.
Based on the output.log file for the session, I think that xfce4-panel step of script.sh does not run or does not run successfully.
