RHEL 7 is no longer receiving security fixes, so the underlying OS should be upgraded to Rocky 8 (like the rest of the cluster).

  • Consider using Rocky 8 in the Docker environment (currently Ubuntu).
  • Get new boxes for the production instances and rebuild the application there.
    • Upgrade Python.
  • Take a downtime, and migrate to the new machine.
    • PostgreSQL database
    • Logs?
    • Set up back up locations, mounts, etc.
  • Contact SVM, etc. to cutover to the new box.
