- Discussing 2 issues of the abstract: 'pronominalized locative and genitive nouns', and 'oblique-object distinction'
- Status updates regarding the completion of annotations
- Presentation in February for 2nd UniDive Workshop: Poster and booster slide submission, due Jan 29
- Submitting a full paper for a workshop in LREC-COLING 2024
- Bermet and Jonathan have annotated 2 sets in Kyrgyz
- Difference: Bermet doesn't have empty tokens, Jonathan does
- In the end, we will have to agree on 1 version of the treebank
- Kazakh may be pushed after Monday, prepared by Ali.
- UD is against tokens with spaces.
- Discussed sentence 6 in Kyrgyz.
- We need some agreed on tests to decide if oblique or object.
- Passivization is one basic test.
- Balkız Hoca's syntax notes were mentioned to include these tests.
- Pronominals of locative and genitive nouns
- We started with the example: "Büyük odadaki kitap güzel."
- Jonathan uses 'nmod:loc' for 'kitap' -> 'odadaki'; and doesn’t want to split.
- Büşra is of the opinion it should be split since the derivation comes after the inflection.
- Next example: "Büyük odadakiler güzel."
- Inner / outer number may be one solution within current UD.
- What to do with "odalardakiler"?
- Meet next week, same time (Feb 3 19:00), same place (Zoom) to continue the discussion.
